This has been an enlightening journey...
I am really surprised at myself and just how much I have learned about Web 2.0 tools during this course. I have put in a lot of time, but I think I will get a lot of mileage from my time spent exploring and experimenting with these tools. As for this blog, I don't know how much I will use it. I like being able to write and reflect on the things I am doing, but right now, I am so busy that I really don't feel I have the time. I haven't quite figured out how I want to use a blog with my students. I am leaning towards a book club for my K-2 kids...not sure yet? I like the Wiki a lot. I want to get my students and parents more involved in using our class wiki. I feel like there are so many possibilities "out there" for me and my students to use that it is a little overwhelming. I guess my advice to myself would be to just jump in and do it. We have so much available at the tips of our fingers that it would be crazy not to take advantage of it. I am just glad that I am at a time in my life where I can enjoy learning and trying out new things. I think I like technology and all it has to offer. Here's to all of us "older generation" folks who are moving out of our comfort zones and joining the 21st century.

What have I learned this week...
Sinus surgery and homework don't mix. Actually, I don't think sinus surgery goes well with anything except pain medication. Nonetheless, I must "blog along."
I am familiar with Delicious and have been using it. After reading the articles, I do better understand how to use tags to help with organization. Something new from the readings that I have "played around" with is Diigo. There seem to be so many ways to apply it especially if you are researching and collaborating with others. I think Diigo be useful to middle and high school age students (and teachers of all ages). I am looking forward to trying it out and seeing just what I can do with it.
Now, Bloglines is an interesting tool. I still don't quite understand which "feeds" I should follow. I selected some that were suggested, but how do I find ones that are truly relevant to me??? I am still exploring the possibilities of this tool.
Well, that is enough for now...
